This is the story about Sally Johannsohn's beautiful Water Spirals.
The business was launched in the Autumn 2001 at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, (MIFGS) winning a Bronze Award for one of the best displays.
In 2001, Sally Johannsohn developed a range of designs from her garden and nursery, Planthunters, in Neika, Tasmania. Water Spirals was launched in Autumn of that year at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, winning a Bronze Award for display.
In 2014, Planthouse’s Belinda Swift approached Sally to be her mentor. Sally’s experience has garnered Belinda with immense passion and a thirst for deeper knowledge, and through this mentorship a treasured friendship of common values has been forged.
Belinda and Sally have now collaborated to relaunch the unique design and craftsmanship of the Water Spirals, bringing them to more gardeners, and gardens, around the world.Built by local craftsmen who understand the malleability of copper, Water Spirals combine contemporary design with artisan skills.
They have been carefully tested and refined to perform with capability and durability over a range of water pressures in gardens both large and small.
The result is a spinning sprinkler with a mesmerising pattern of gentle rain when in motion, and a beautiful garden sculpture when not in use.
